Synopsis
A fantastical tale of a ride through the decade of the 60s in California, USA. A musical playlist is offered at the onset of the book, the music and songs guide us through the telling. The man turns the crank and the residents on Nightingale Court move and toil. Sylvie and Joe smoke pot, Rick and Holly go to church, Jim and Judy are swingers, and Traci just forced the split between HerJoe and Sarah.Jerry and Chrissy were the first residents in Auburn Heights, they occupy the bird's-eyespot at the end of the cul-de-sac. Too much? There's more. Witness the day that Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer commemorate our Golf Club of Eden and absorb all the inner-workings of a PGA course. And then there's another couple Dan and Carol; they are making their way home from a drug induced weekend in Laurel Canyon, they mingle with Jack Nicholson, Neil Young, astronauts from NASA, The Brotherhood of Eternal Love, and Stevie! There's fashion and cigarettes, cocaine and LSD, miniskirts, peace signs, and Lovebugs! Too much to take in?
