Synopsis

A Great War has reduced an advanced society (the Old World) to rumble. Through the rebirth, 12 communities, known as Orders, are built with various principles each live by to appease a greater being (The Great Spirit). Those who 'study' and 'practice' the teachings are gifted with extraordinary abilities. In an effort to avoid a repeat of the Great War that broke the Old World, they have decreed that no weapons of mass destruction be created. What drives the malice, greed, and opposition between the Orders is that the Great Spirit blesses a child with a spirit that can change the world for better or worse. There is a great search for this child every birth cycle, when they die another child replaces them and the search begins again. Whoever claims this blessed spirit will raise them in their ways and the balances of peace, war, hunger, plenty, etc. shift dramatically because of the claimant Order's influence. There is political intrigue, betrayal, and plots at the expense of the child's mental, emotional, and physical stability. There are remnants of the Old World and the current one. The setting is very much rural, by choice, but advanced supernaturally. Will the those hiding from the New World rise and rock their world again?
