Synopsis

Life 1, Brenna James 0. Her family might be safe in Syeira, but Brenna James's mental to-do list is a series of impossible tasks: figure out the prophecy, stop Rune, find the Caelestis Staff, save both worlds. Rune is burning through Firebrands like kindling, and the staff he's after is powerful enough to slice worlds apart. With Baldwin and Arvandus at her side, every step towards solving the prophecy provides a greater challenge-a shifting oasis, ravenous mermaids, and a Skeleton King with boundary issues. Although Brenna's brain often refuses to focus, she must find creative solutions in the chaos because Rune isn't just after the staff; he's after her. And in this final battle, Brenna must control her Firebrand gift and burn bright enough to save both worlds...or burn out for good.
