Synopsis

A cautious girl meets a careless boy in this epic tale of two opposites. Tamarin is an outcast who hides in the trees. Adden is beloved but aches for adventure. Set in a world with mythical creatures, dark forces, and ancient secrets, book one of the Terror and Wave series chronicles the lives of two children as they walk through tragedy, trials, and the very real terrors of the outside world. Tamarin and Adden are as different as can be. Tamarin's foreign features have marked her an outcast in Tenek lua Ben. She'd rather be in the trees or working quietly in her father's infirmary - anything to avoid the whispers and sneers of the other villagers. Adden is beloved, full of mischief, and surrounded by siblings, but he aches for adventure and runs headlong into any he can find. A mishap with a sea creature lands Adden in the infirmary, forcing the two together. They find comfort in one another, despite their differences, and with an island full of mysteries to explore, their future seems a happy one. But growing up comes with its own hardships, and the secrets of Tamarin's origins conceal a dangerous world - one that could destroy everything they hold dear.
