Synopsis

13,000 years ago on the Itabacan Archipelago, the Itabayiti civilization is thriving. With every resource imaginable at their fingertips, they have spent the past thousand years building massive pyramids, enormous ceremonial courts, and towering walls to protect them from the Storm Spirit's wrath. Being a seafaring people, they actively explore beyond the great wall, tackling the powerful waves in their sturdy reed boats. However, despite their technological and philosophical advances, some of the Itabayiti feel they have strayed too far from their ancient traditions. A plot to murder their ruler is discovered and the conspirators must be swiftly dealt with before it's too late. Have the ruler's suppressive actions done more harm than good? While a revolution appears to be imminent, an ancient and mysterious figure slithers about in the shadows, teasing the possibility that there might be something far grander and potentially more ominous on the horizon for Itabacan. "The Dawn of the Sacred: The Mawoakin Conspiracy" is an exciting story with a strong emphasis on family and friendship, as well as the all-too-familiar growing pains that accompany a young boy's transition to manhood. You will find that Morrison Fuller's novel appeals far beyond the expected audience, becoming a story the entire family can enjoy together.
