Synopsis

Peace is fragile, and the lines between duty and family often blur--especially when long-forgotten rebels return to the elven kingdom of Lostariel. With someone of his own to protect now, Cerian's determination to keep Arisanna safe is put to the test as he digs for the strength he needs to be the haven and protector she deserves. Through it all, Sanna leans on Cerian's love and support to help her heal the wounds from her past. Meanwhile, as Viala struggles to control her growing power, Tharios promises to walk with her through the fears she can't seem to silence-even when those fears include losing him. As Tharios confronts the ways he's let down his wife and the people he'll one day serve as king, he must decide what kind of man he wants to be and accept that true strength is found together and not alone. Now that Elowyn's magic and health are returning, she and Rominy find themselves torn between their loyalty to Lostariel and their duty to Nunia.
