Synopsis

Daphne's story continues in this long-awaited sequel. Months after defying the demon, Daphne is no closer to discovering how to prevent its plans. The looming arrival of a lower-ranking demon casts a shadow over every victory against dyszoons, which have only grown stronger. Meanwhile, her everyday life isn't immune to the supernatural. An awkward birthday party takes a dark turn, and a bitter theater ghost seems intent on ruining the musical. Even a definitely-not-ugly distraction from an unrequited crush isn't untouched by the secrets Daphne struggles to hide. Between it all, she receives startling glimpses of a missing girl who could be the key to stopping the coming evil-if it's not already too late. Before long, Daphne learns it's the living nightmares that are the hardest to wake up from.
