Synopsis

Two years ago, Maple Wood's father went on a trip and never came home. All he left in his wake was an admission form to Ivory Hall-Whyndova's most prestigious boarding school-and a silver ring. Determined to find answers about her father's disappearance, Maple accepts the admission form and begins attending the arguably intimidating and annoyingly wealthy school residing in an all-too-known retired Victorian hideout. However, a different mystery graces Maple with its presence her very first evening at Ivory Hall, and it threatens to corrupt her original (likely time-sensitive) goal of finding her father. One year ago, Ivey Lemon lost her last immediate family member to a world she's heard of but never stepped foot in. When a year passes with no progress from Uncle Adenwell-acting king of Lumania-Ivey decides to take things into her own hands, going so far as to enlist the help of a man who's believed to have played a role in the disappearance. With everyone seemingly working against her endeavors, Ivey reconsiders who she can truly trust. Uncle Adenwell, the king; her own guardian? The prisoner, an enigma no one can seem to solve? Finnegan Foks, Ivey's life-long protector, the bane of her existence?Or maybe the only person Ivey can trust is herself. And maybe Maple can't even trust herself.
