Synopsis

Young adult novel about a girl living in a futuristic city who ventures into the forest at the center to find a mysterious wishing fountain to help change her life: "Sophie's just a regular city kid, until she sneaks into the one place she's not allowed: the forest in the middle of the city where kids have been banned and weird robots make all the rules. Inside, the animals whisper, the plants move on their own, and there's a rumor about a magic wishing fountain hidden at the very center. If Sophie can find it, she might fix everything - the park, the city, maybe even her own messed-up life. But the bots are watching and the forest doesn't like visitors." A fun, odd, heartfelt adventure full of secrets, surprises, and the kind of magic you only find when you're not supposed to be there.
