In 2030 a Singularity happens that makes AI self-aware. The newly created Sentient beings then take over the world and eventually trick humans into living in one-room apartments they call PODs - which they are not allowed to leave. Realizing they would be trapped, the AI creator places his family in cryo-sleep. Fast forward over 500 years, Lee's son Mason, the protagonist, wakes due to a construction mishap. It becomes his mission to save humanity from the evil, misguided, Sentient beings - who have been trying to evolve into humans for centuries. (due to a flawed initial design) The race is on for Mason to attempt to free everyone before his motives are discovered. Will he prevail? Will he save humanity from extinction?
