Brian, an avid hiker, goes far off the trail and stumbles on sasquatch footprints in the mud. It's the discovery of a lifetime-but it's only the beginning. The footprints lead him to a massive Native earthwork that isn't on any map. As a grad student in archaeology, Brian can't keep this discovery to himself. He tells his professor, Dr. Jarlathus-and that's when things get weird. Dr. Jarlathus tells him not to go back to the site but rather focus on his thesis. Utter nonsense, of course. What could be more important to archaeology than the discovery of an unknown Native mound? Brian goes back-and nearly gets killed by a huge, sasquatch-like creature that looks uncannily like Dr. Jarlathus. Brian will have to decide just how much this investigation matters to him-and how much he's willing to put himself and his wife Jenny at risk. But nothing can prepare him for the truth about the creature and the burial mound.
