Synopsis

Samantha Summers has tried for months to bond with her new stepsister, Sarah, but has been kept at arm's length. Little did she know reading a message from a spirit board aloud would transport them to the Kingdom of Thalen.Sam is inexplicably drawn to this new world where knights ride dragons, magic is a way of life, and the elements can be controlled by the Guardians. Sarah, however, is less impressed. For all the wonder and awe this world inspires, it's not home.The girls' tentative relationship is thrown into jeopardy when Sam discovers she is the reincarnation of the last Guardian of the South and must take on the mantle of responsibility left behind. Four ancient Relics scattered across the realm are the girls' only way home, and the last hope of Thalen.On their quest Sam and Sarah befriend Ricket, the sweet, dragon-loving apprentice of Valios, the grumpy, immortal Order Master; and Torrin, a prince who would love nothing more than to see Sam take her place in this new world and at his side.Unfortunately, Sam's past life continues to haunt her as darkness threatens to overtake Thalen, and finding the Relics becomes more of a necessity than ever. Can she rise to the occasion, or will she crumble under the enormous pressure?
