Synopsis

There's a mystery afoot in New Eden! After an eventful summer full of romance, sweet treats, and not-so-mild panic for café owner Eli Hawkins, the much anticipated Halloween season is a breath of fresh air. With the joys of the 'ber months on the horizon, Eli aims to make the many upcoming holidays as memorable as possible. The most exciting event on the calendar? The annual murder mystery party at the Upshur Manor, an exclusive event that he's been dying to attend for years. But balancing the cake orders, a new hire, and his boyfriend's failing health has made New Eden's favorite fallen angel a tad frazzled. Des Upshur is feeling more anxious than usual - but the fact that his soul-fire went out and his heart literally stopped over the summer probably has more to do with it than he wants to admit. Des tries to stay strong for Eli as they head into the fallen angel's favorite time of the year, but his boyfriend's obvious worries are starting to bleed into their romance. Hoping the party at his parents' house - and a visit from his favorite cousin, Daedalus - may help lift his spirits, the half-demon tries his best to make the days leading up to Halloween magical. Little does he know, the mystery that awaits them when they arrived at the manor will change his life forever.
