Synopsis

Life is hard for the clans of the wold, a life of toil and sacrifice. But there is joy as well. A marriage festival is underway; kith and kin have gathered at the homestead. But harken! The bridegroom has been captured; his retainers slain in cruel ambush. Can the goblin raiders be caught, and the bridegroom returned to his family? Four heroes give chase, hoping to overtake the raiders. But when this hope is dashed, only one path remains to rescue their friend... They must brave the Sepulchre of Dusk. This ancient barrow provides a means of entering the goblin warrens via a hidden path, but can the heroes overcome the deadly traps and inimical foes lurking in these dark passages? Sepulchre of Dusk is a 42-page introductory adventure compatible with the Shadowdark RPG . It is designed for up to four players and a Game Master, and is suitable for an evening’s play. Included are six pregenerated and illustrated player character sheets, new magic items, monsters, and treasures, and notes and advice on how to run the adventure for new Game Masters. Also broadly compatible with Old School Essentials and classic B/X D&D.
