Synopsis

Ren is a gryfess who has always looked at the world in a different way than those around her. Once misfit and unsure of her own path and future, she has secured an honorable place in the pride of the Silver Isles, after helping to save the islands from a silver poison in the water. Now seemingly malevolent natural disasters continue to strike the Silver Isles, and Ren, the princess Embra, and the dragon Suijen are all keeping the secret of a catastrophic prophecy written on a stone that could very well mean the end of the world. With dangerous starfalls, strange new enemies and fears arising in the pride, and the threat of wildfire in the dry forests, the vague and ancient prophecy seems to be the least of their worries . . . until each event begins to align with those written on the stone. Now with incompressible powers at work, secrets to keep, and every life in the islands to protect, Ren must decide what is more important--keeping her secure place in the pride, or risking everything to trust her own heart and her unique understanding of the world, which might be the only thing that can save it.
