Synopsis

The people of the Slums were left to rot. Governor Aepep sat in his mansion. Starving children wandered the Slums of Shantu. Yuvraj and Tyr dream of the day when they might take their rightful place as children of the governor who disowned them. Together they choose to fight the tyranny, training with an Elf named Chantrea. Gathering other orphaned children like themselves, the two boys organize a rebellion as they aid the people of the Slums. Will this fight become a drop of hope in a sea of misery or burn on the battlefield before it's truly begun? Son of Kings is a Prequel to Child of Shadows and Book Two in the series The Legends of Zale. Told by Yuvraj, it reveals the origins of the Shadows of Shantu and centers around the conflict swirling inside Yuvraj as he seeks to find his place in the world.
