Junior adventure story set in 1920s Wisconsin. Stephen "Steve" Grendon and Simoleon "Sim" Jones, two teenage boys on vacation, take a raft down the river in search of a treasure and run into the biggest adventure of their lives. This is the first of the Steve and Sim Mystery Series, also known as the Mill Creek Irregulars. It was first published in 1958.
