Synopsis

Homer’s immortal epic poem is my most popular graphic novel. It retells the complete story of Odysseus’ adventures in 250 pages of fully-painted art. The text is my own adaptation, based on several different translations. As with all of my adaptations, it remains extremely faithful to the original text.

Is The Odyssey: A Graphic Novel: (A Modern Visual Adaptation of Homer's Epic Tale of Greek Mythology for Young Adults) appropriate for my child?

Suitable for most readers 13 and up.

This faithful graphic adaptation of Homer's epic contains mythological violence (Cyclops blinding, sea monsters, battles) and brief references to sexual situations (sirens, Circe), but remains appropriate for teens through visual storytelling that honors the classical text.
