Synopsis

After the trauma of the last several months, Veyl is determined to help resolve the rising conflict that threatens Vanris and the people she loves. Together with her friends, she's joined a military unit and is putting herself on the front lines in political negotiations as well. Her love life remains tumultuous as outside influences and her own mistakes put a strain on her relationship. The possibility of war hangs over them, making any kind of peaceful future, let alone one in which they can be together, look impossible. A growing number of people are treating her like she's special, and now she's developing abilities she shouldn't have, which only make her life more confusing. Before her enemies make their move, she must master the chaos spiraling around her, or risk losing everything. NOTE: This series takes place several years after the Warden's Son series. It can be read on its own but contains some spoilers for that series.
