Synopsis

When Liza Durant is saved from drowning by Jeffrey Forrest, she little realizes how much it will change her life. Jeffrey is the heir to the old manor La Deuxieme, the 'second house'. Within days he proposes to Liza, who agrees to visit him at his country home. A series of accidents soon follows, and Liza finds herself in a web of intrigue over the inheritance of the great house. Can she escape alive? Or will the curse of the second house claim yet another victim?
