Synopsis

After a life-altering setback returns him to his hometown of Flagstaff, Arizona, Alex Findley is determined to live a predictable and mundane life. Until he meets his new coworker, Ann Summerfield. She’s cheerful; she’s competitive; and worst of all—she wants to spend time with him. When Alex discovers a mysterious magic staff in a nearby pond, it triggers anxiety-inducing visions, interdimensional travel, and a power that everyone except him seems to want. Stuck in worlds far from home, Alex will need to confront his self-doubt—and his growing feelings for Ann—if there’s any chance of returning to his once-cherished routine.
